name MERRICK-KEMPER was born and used as a “dba” for all of our company’s roofing and architectural sheet metal work.
In the early 1970’s, we decided to expand once more and ventured into the field of Mechanical Contracting, consisting of pipefitting and plumbing, using the “dba” Merrick Mechanical. early days of 1902. Originally named Falls City Cornice & Roofing Co., the company specialized in the fabrication, erection, and installation of architectural and industrial sheet metal products, including the installation of terne coated (tin), slate, and tile roofing. In later years, possession of the business was passed onto his two sons, George Robert and J. W. Merrick. In approximately 1947, Fred J. Merrick Sr. and Norman L. Merrick Sr. assumed the management of the family business. Fred J. Merrick Sr. remains an integral part of the business today.
